Privacy notice
This notice covers this website, lefty23.co.za. Each website we operate under its own name has its own privacy notice, which names Lefty23 (Pty) Ltd as the responsible party and explains what that site collects and why. This notice is the short one, because this site collects very little.
Who we are
Lefty23 (Pty) Ltd is a private company registered in South Africa and based in Cape Town. We design and build software for the web, run online services of our own, and build and maintain websites for other businesses. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) we are the responsible party for the personal information processed on our websites. Our registered, postal and physical address is 19 Meadow Circle, Wheatfields Estate, Durbanville, Cape Town, 7560.
What this website collects
- Nothing you type. This site has no forms, no accounts and no comments.
- Server and security logs. The site is served through Cloudflare, which records the IP address, browser type and pages requested for each visit for security and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs to identify visitors. Cloudflare holds them on our behalf for a short period as our operator.
- No cookies of our own, no analytics. This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics scripts. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it screens a request.
- Fonts are served from this site. No third-party font or script service is loaded, so no other company sees your visit.
If you email us
If you write to hello@lefty23.co.za or privacy@lefty23.co.za we keep your email address and message for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to any mailing list. Email to these addresses is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing and read in a Gmail mailbox operated by Google, which means it is stored outside South Africa by processors bound by their own privacy commitments.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we process it. Write to privacy@lefty23.co.za. We answer within 30 days. Asking us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you is free of charge under section 23(1)(a) of POPIA, and we never charge for a correction or a deletion. A formal request for a record under PAIA is a different thing and carries the prescribed request fee; our PAIA manual sets out the procedure and the fees. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za, enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, 010 023 5200.
Information Officer
Our Information Officer under POPIA and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) is the director of Lefty23 (Pty) Ltd, reachable at privacy@lefty23.co.za and registered with the Information Regulator under registration number 2026-066332. Our PAIA manual explains how to request access to records we hold.
Changes
If this notice changes we update the date at the top. Material changes to how any of our other websites handle personal information are explained in that site's own notice.
